Microbial Volatile Organic Compound (MVOC)
MVOCs are gases released by mold and other microorganisms during their metabolic processes. They are often responsible for the musty, moldy odors detected in contaminated indoor environments and can indicate hidden mold growth even when no visible signs are present.
