Converted buildings carry moisture histories in their concrete floors, brick walls, and below-grade loading areas that predate any residential occupancy. The Arts District's former industrial infrastructure — loading docks, freight elevators, warehouse-scale roof systems — creates moisture pathways that standard residential inspection doesn't address.
